  2. Business Registration and Activation
    1. How do I register my business for TradeSeam?
      You can sign up for our service by filling out the following information: your full name, company name, email address and password on our business registration page. After you have completed the above information and click submit on our business registration page, we will send you an email to activate your TradeSeam business account. It is important that you click on the activation link and complete your business profile so that your business appears in our search results. Once you have completed your business profile you will be able to receive qualified sales leads from us.
    2. How much does it cost to register and list my business on TradeSeam?
      Registering and listing your business on TradeSeam is FREE! There is no cost to registering or listing your business on TradeSeam. You can get started by completing your business registration.
    3. During signup it says “Email address already in use. Choose a different one”.
      If you have already registered with us before, please sign in to your account with your email and password on the business login page. If you have lost or forgotten your password, please request a new password for your account by entering your email address in the Forgot password box located on the business login page.

      If you do not own the email address provided to us during business registration, then please be aware that you will not be able to activate your business account on TradeSeam using the email address you provided us during registration as we send an email to the email address to activate your business account.
    4. My account activation email has not arrived. What do I need to do?
      We apologize for any inconvenience but there could be several reasons why you did not receive an account activation email from us.

      Please follow the steps below to help us resolve this for your account:
      • Check your email application's spam or junk folder or filter as many email service providers may have mistakenly classified the email as spam and delivered it to your spam folder
      • Verify that you’re trying to log in with the correct email address that you provided us when signing up for your business account
      • Please note that some emails may be blocked by your ISP (internet service provider). Please check with your ISP or sign up with us using a different email address
      • If you're still having trouble after the above steps, please contact us customer service and we will help you resolve your issue
    5. I forgot my password? How do I retrieve it?
      If you have lost or forgotten your password, please request a new password for your account by entering your email address in the Forgot password section on the business login page.
    6. I have signed up on TradeSeam but I do not see my business or company in your search results.
      If you registered your business with us, you will receive an email with account activation link from us. It is important that you click on the activation link and complete your business profile to appear in search results. Once you have completed your business profile you will be able to receive qualified sales leads from us.
    7. How do I deactivate my account?
      We are sorry to hear that you want to deactivate your business account on TradeSeam. If there is anything we can do to keep you with us please feel free to contact us and we will do our very best to help resolve the issue.

      If you still feel like deactivating your account with us please go to your settings page after logging into your business account and click on the deactivate link and follow the steps.

      *Please note once you deactivate your business account, your business will no longer appear in our search results, your business will lose all its account privileges including verification status, existing connections and messages on TradeSeam. However, you will be able to re-activate your business account at a later date by clicking on the re-activate link after providing us with your email and password on the business login page.
    8. How do I re-activate my account?
      We are happy to see that you have decided to re-activate your business account with us, Please sign in with your email and password on the business login page and follow the prompts to re-activate the account.
    9. My account was disabled by TradeSeam. How can I appeal for it to be re-instated?
      Your account may be disabled at anytime without any notice if you violate our terms and conditions and privacy policy. TradeSeam has a zero tolerance policy towards abuse and spam as we are building a vibrant business network and community on a solid foundation of Trust, Safety and Security for all our business users to grow their business with us.

  3. Business Profile
    1. How do I edit my Business description?
      Login to your business account on TradeSeam and click on the Profile tab where you can edit your company profile. TradeSeam will lock certain fields in your Company Profile such as Company Name, Country and Industry once your business has been approved for the TradeSeam Verified Program because we verify your business so that our members can build trust while connecting with you as a potential partner, vendor, service provider or customer.
    2. How do I change my business address and or contact information?
      Login to your business account on TradeSeam and click on the Profile tab where you can edit your business address and contact information if it has changed. Note: If you put in incorrect or incomplete information about your business it will be difficult for potential customers and partners to connect with your business and you may not receive the sales leads from us. Please make sure you provide your accurate business information including address and contact information enabling the business community and us send you sales leads that you can close on in a timely manner.
    3. How do I change my email address?
      TradeSeam locks the email address you have provided us as we verify the email address before activating your business account with us. Please make sure you provide us with your preferred email address when registering with us.
    4. I want to add product images or logos to my business profile.
      TradeSeam currently does not allow users to upload images or logo to your business profile page. If you feel like adding images would be a great feature please provide us with feedback using the form located here.
    5. Are there any products or businesses that are prohibited from listing or selling on TradeSeam?
      We do not allow business listings for adult related content. All items that promote hatred, violence, illegal drug usage or other illegal activities are also prohibited. In addition, please do not post or sell any items that are restricted or prohibited by a federal, state or local law in your country. Any violators will be automatically be deleted from TradeSeam without any notice or warnings.

  4. Business Security and Privacy
    1. Is my information safe with TradeSeam?
      Yes, we value your privacy and security as much as you do, and we won't spam or share your information with any third party without your consent or approval. TradeSeam users will only see your public business profile page with your company name, website and address to help identify and match users interested in doing business with you. We do not share your personal contact information such as phone numbers or email address unless you choose to connect with, send a request for information or quote (RFQ) to a TradeSeam member or accept a connection or RFQ from a user.

    2. Does TradeSeam use cookies?
      When you visit TradeSeam, we send one or more cookies - a small file containing a string of characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing your user preferences so we can provide you with the best user experience on the Internet.

  5. Business Leads
    1. How can I obtain business leads for my business?
      First step is to register your business with TradeSeam, activate your account and complete the profile. Once you have registered and activated your business on TradeSeam by completing your business profile. Once your business profile has been activated you will receive leads from buyers that are interested in your product or service when they fill out the request a quote form on you business profile. If a user fills an RFQ specifically for your company, the lead is sent to you for free.

      In addition, you can also choose to purchase additional qualified leads that meet your criteria by visiting our marketplace. These leads offered to our members for a nominal price per lead basis.
    2. Will other suppliers be receiving the same lead?
      If a user fills an RFQ specifically for your company, the lead is not sold to any other suppliers. However, if the user request to compare quotes from additional suppliers or submits an RFQ form on our business resources page TradeSeam sells the lead to up to 4 sellers or less. Our service allows buyers to receive up to 4 competitive price quotes, which is why they fill out our request for quotes forms.
    3. Is it possible to return a lead and get a credit?
      Yes, it is our belief that our community are the best enforcers of quality and therefore we expect you to return leads that do not meet the specific criteria of what we consider a valid lead. Return data is important because we use this information to continue to refine and modify our algorithms to find the best possible leads for our community.

      Therefore, please return a lead when it meets one of the acceptable reasons for returns. We will evaluate it relative to the criteria specified in our return policy to determine whether it qualifies as a reason for returning a lead. In addition, because we believe that the community is a better evaluator of quality, if we find that a majority of suppliers returned the lead, we will automatically credit all the suppliers that bought the specific lead. If a credit has been approved your account will be credited with the purchase price used to buy the specific lead and you can use the credit to buy another lead from us.
    4. What is an invalid lead?
      A lead is deemed invalid only if the following criteria apply.
      • The contact information provided in the lead request proves to be inaccurate (e.g. Wrong phone number, incorrect email address, or false contact name, make it impossible to contact customer).
      • The lead request was placed by a company in the same industry in effort to gain competitive intelligence or if it is a job seeker or student doing research.
      • The lead request is a duplicate to another lead recently received. (Credit will only be provided if the lead contains identical contact information and is for the same services as requested in the first lead.)
      Note:
      1. Being unable to contact the buyer is not a valid reason for a credit. Often, a buyer does not return messages after they select a supplier. It is very costly to obtain and qualify these leads so we cannot give credits for reasons outside of our control.
      2. Supplier does not retrieve lead request in a timely fashion and does not wish to be charged for lead. TradeSeam cannot be responsible for the time frame or frequency in which suppliers monitor their TradeSeam account and or follow-up with lead requests.
    5. I have credits available in my account. Can I get a refund?
      Lead credits are in the form of an account credit and will not be issued as a refund under any circumstance.
    6. I have credits available in my account. I am terminating my TradeSeam account and would like to get a refund.

    7. What are TradeSeam credits?
      TradeSeam sells credits that are redeemed for TradeSeam services such as buying sales leads. Each credit is currently priced at $1 USD.
    8. I bought a lead from TradeSeam but was not able to close the sale.
      Leads are not guaranteed jobs, they are leads and you are competing with other vendors and dealing with “potential” customers and clients who may or may not end up purchasing services. TradeSeam does not guarantee you will win the job.
    9. How many leads do I need to buy before I close a sale?
      Closing a sale depends on a number of things including the skills of your sales force. On average our suppliers typically close one sale for every five leads. We believe we are one of the cheapest and most cost effective solutions for you to acquire customers for your business.

      Most successful sellers close between 10% and 30% of our leads into sales. One of our clients closed a job that was so large they told us they could pay for our service for the next 50 years without closing another job!
    10. I received sales leads that I did not pay for. How did that happen?
      When a user submits an RFQ specifically for your company, we deliver the sales lead to you for free. If you want to receive more of such leads, ensure that you have a high PriorityRank™

      Following are some of the actions you can take to improve your PriorityRank with TradeSeam:
      • Apply and get approved for the TradeSeam Verified program – Its Free!
      • Invite your existing business contacts and form new connections on TradeSeam
      • Add your public business profile link to your business email signature and in your business email communications so your customers, partners, service providers and vendors can click on the recommend button on your business profile page and recommend your business, the more connections and recommendations you have on TradeSeam the higher your PriorityRank, resulting in a more sales leads for your business.
      • You can also share your public business profile page on social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, MySpace, Google etc to drive more traffic to your business profile page and website.
      These actions will allow you to get more visibility on our business network resulting in more opportunities for potentially receiving free leads directly for your business.

      Note: Remember to include an accurate business description, industry and sub-industries in your business profile to make sure you receive qualified sales leads that meet your criteria. Do not include inaccurate business information as TradeSeam would like to serve the needs of its entire business community by distributing the right and qualified sales leads to the right business that can serve them.
    11. How do I buy leads from TradeSeam?
      First step is to register your business with TradeSeam, active your account and complete the profile. Once you have registered and activated your business on TradeSeam by completing your business profile, signin to your account and go to "Business Marketplace" to buy leads for your business.
    12. Will other suppliers be receiving the same lead?
      Yes. TradeSeam sells each Request for Quotes to 4 sellers or less. Our service allows buyers to receive up to 4 competitive price quotes, which is why they fill out our request for quotes forms.

      Sending leads to multiple sellers also allows us to keep our lead fees at a fraction of the cost for our sellers. If we sent the leads to fewer suppliers or provided exclusive leads, we would have to charge substantially more for each lead, potentially making them cost prohibitive.

      Most successful sellers close between 10% and 30% of our leads into sales. One of our clients closed a job that was so large they told us they could pay for our service for the next 50 years without closing another job!

      How successful you are as a supplier is largely dependent upon 3 factors: your product or service, price and a professional approach. If you offer a quality product or service at a competitive price and you are able to quickly contact the buyer in a professional approach, you will do very well with our leads.
    13. I have a new product that I would like to sell on TradeSeam. How do I post a sell lead?
      You cannot post sell leads on TradeSeam. Here is what you have to do to sell your new product on TradeSeam. Sign in to your account and go to Edit Profile page. Add the new product to the “business description” section and select the correct Industry and sub-category. Save the profile. When a user searches TradeSeam for your product, your company will appear in the search results.
    14. How do I post a buy lead or offer on TradeSeam?
      You cannot post buy leads or offers on TradeSeam. If you want to buy from a TradeSeam member, send them a request for quote directly.
    15. I received a lead but it has invalid contact information. What should I do?
      We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working very hard on to prevent invalid leads from being sent to our business members. Please submit a lead return request and our customer service will process the request within 30 days and provide you a credit in your account if the sales lead is deemed invalid.
    16. I received a lead from TradeSeam but it has bogus information. What should I do?
      We take spam abuse very seriously and apologize for the inconvenience. We are working very hard to prevent spam or abuse from being sent to our business members. Please submit a lead return request. Our customer service will process the request within 30 days and you will receive a credit in your account if the sales lead is deemed invalid.
    17. I believe I bought an invalid lead. How do I apply for a credit?
      Sign in to your account and go to "Your Leads" and select "View" for the lead. Next, select "Return Request", complete the form and submit it to us. To be considered for credit, returns must be submitted within 3 business days of the lead being purchased. Upon receipt of the lead credit request, our customer service team will review your request within 30 days to determine if the lead qualifies for a credit. If the lead is deemed invalid a credit will be automatically posted to your account. You can then choose to purchase a new lead with the credits posted to your account.
    18. I received an email from TradeSeam that a new lead is available for purchase. It is now showing "sold out".
      We sell the same lead to four suppliers or less based on the buyers’ request. It is possible that by the time you visited the business marketplace to purchase the lead; it had already been bought by a maximum of four suppliers.
    19. How do I pay for leads? Is it safe to purchase leads on TradeSeam?
      You can use a credit card or your paypal account to pay for the leads. We use Paypal’s secure payment engine for credit card processing and payments to ensure safety of all our customers that buy leads on the TradeSeam marketplace.

      1. What is the connect feature on TradeSeam?
        The connect feature allows you to connect with potential new suppliers, customers, partners and service providers, and help build your network to help grow your business. The number of connections you have also helps improve your TradeSeam PriorityRank™ to receive more sales leads from us.
      2. How do I connect with other businesses?
        You can start by inviting your existing business contacts to join your network on TradeSeam. They will be added to your connections list once they accepted your invitation. You can also search for a business on TradeSeam that you’d like to partner with to help grow your business, by selecting the connect link on their business profile page and completing the connection request form. Please be sure to include detailed information of why you'd like to connect with the business so that they can accept your connection. We take spam seriously and will take action against any abuse on our business network.

    22. Business Recommendations
      1. How can I recommend a business on TradeSeam?
        You can recommend a TradeSeam member company by clicking on the “RECOMMEND” button located on the member company’s business profile page. Note: You have to be logged in and a registered member of TradeSeam to recommend a member company as TradeSeam does not accept any recommendations to ensure that our recommendations are from valid members as it provides our buying community with valuable information while selecting the right vendor for their business needs.
      2. How can I get recommendations for my business?
        You can get recommendations for your business by adding your public business profile link to your email signature and in your business email communications so your customers, partners, service providers and vendors can click on the recommend button on your business profile page and recommend your business, the more connections and recommendations you have on TradeSeam the higher your PriorityRank, resulting in a more sales leads for your business.
      3. Can I track who has recommended my company?
        TradeSeam currently does not provide information as to who has recommended your business or company. However, you can see aggregate number of recommendation that your business or company has received by visiting your business profile page.

      1. Can I share a business profile with friends?
        TradeSeam encourages you to share your business profile online. Just select the “Share” button on your public business profile page and select (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, MySpace, Google etc.) where you’d like to share your business profile and follow the instructions to share it with others online.

        If you are wondering whether you can share it on multiple online and social networking sites. Absolutely, TradeSeam encourages you to share your business profile on as many social networking sites as you would like to do so – there is no upper limit!

        In-fact, sharing your business profile page can be used to increase business presence online with potential customers and partners. And it can also be used to get references from your online networks before dealing with a specific business.
      2. Can I email or print my business profile as well?
        Yes, TradeSeam allows you to email or print your business profile by selecting the “Share” button on your public business profile page and clicking on the email or print icons from the share pop-up list and following the instructions.

        TradeSeam encourages you to network with the business community of entrepreneurs, business owners and executives. Please visit the business community section that is a valuable business resource to get your questions answered, discuss relevant business issues, business topics that may help you in your business.

        Participating in the Featured Conversations on business community section helps you establish your business and yourself as an expert in your business field and gain respect from our business community. Our studies have shown that this also increases the number of sales leads you can get for your business and your ability to close the leads into sales.
      2. How does my business profile link appear in the Top Contributor section?
        Your business profile link will automatically appear in the Top Contributors section based on the number of valid contributions you have made in the Featured Conversations section. Please make sure you do not post trivial comments as we take abuse seriously and will automatically delete your account if it has been reported for abuse from our members.
      3. How does my business profile link appear in the Business Directory Listings?
        Your business profile link will automatically appear in the Business Directory listings once you have registered and activated your business account by completing your business profile with us.
      4. How does my business profile link appear in the Featured Vendors Section?
        TradeSeam uses a proprietary ranking algorithm called PriorityRank™ to rank its vendors for its specific products and services. Businesses with the highest PriorityRank will appear in the Featured Vendors section for its products and services.

        Following are some of the actions you can take to improve your PriorityRank with TradeSeam:

      1. How do I send a request for quote (RFQ)?
        You can request a quote from a TradeSeam member company by searching for the product, service or company on TradeSeam, selecting the request a quote link for the specific member company and completing the RFQ form. The member company will be notified of your request and will get in touch with you directly.
      2. How do I compare price quotes from multiple vendors?
        You can compare price quotes by visiting our Business Resource Center, selecting the product or service of interest for and completing the compare price quotes form. We will notify up to 5 vendors of your request and they will get in touch with you directly.

    27. TradeSeam Verified Program
      1. What is the TradeSeam Verified Program?
        TradeSeam Verified Program verifies the business by checking records of existence, credibility and trustworthiness. We gather evidence that the business listed with us is accurate & reliable. If you or your customers, partners and service providers are dealing with a TradeSeam verified member, you can be assured that the member company has been verified by us. The TradeSeam verified seal will help quickly differentiate the business from the others in our business network.
      2. How do I get TradeSeam Verified?
        In order to get the TradeSeam verified seal, your need to apply for the TradeSeam Verified program and we must be able to verify your existence, credibility and trustworthiness.
      3. How much does the TradeSeam Verified program cost?
        The TradeSeam verified program is currently FREE* for 1 year from the approval date of verification.

    28. Fraud Protection
      1. I am new to TradeSeam. Do you provide any guarantees or fraud protection if I do business with your member(s)?
        TradeSeam does not provide any guarantees for doing business with its business members or vendors. However, we are trying to do our best to try and prevent and reduce fraud on our business network by providing tools and information that will make it safe for you to do business with our community members.

        Here are some additional safety tips that we recommend for our users:
        • Verify contact details of the seller. Call them up and speak on the phone. Look for consistency in contact information. For example if the postal address is in Mexico but the phone number is from the US then it should be a red flag. If you find the contact information listed on TradeSeam to be incorrect, please email us at customerservice@tradeseam.com
        • Ensure that the person you are dealing with is an authorized representative of the company
        • Check references of the seller
        • Ask the seller to certify that the goods being shipped to you are genuine and not counterfeit
        • It is advisable to rely on widely known and trusted companies for shipping and payment. Avoid making payments through western union. Instead use Letter of Credit, Bank Wire Transfer or PayPal. Also ensure that the beneficiary name, for a Bank Wire Transfer, matches the “Company Name” and is NOT a personal account.
      2. I believe the TradeSeam member I am dealing with is fraudulent? What should I do?
        Please file a complaint with the law enforcement in your country and the country where the company is located. Also email relevant information about the company to customerservice@tradeseam.com so we can take the necessary action if the business is a TradeSeam member.
